After
finishing throwing the pebbles at Jamrat Al-Aqabah, the pilgrims
(except those who are performing Hajj Ifrad) are required
to slaughter an animal. The following are some helpful guidelines:
1.
Slaughtering can be on any of the days from the 10th to the
13th of Zul-Hijjah, but not after that.
2.
The
sacrifice can either be a sheep, 1/7th share of a cow, or
1/7th share of a camel.
3.
Select
the best animal and avoid those with defects.
4.
Pilgrims
can slaughter the animal themselves, or by appointing someone
else.
5.
Pilgrims can eat up to 1/3 of the sacrifice, offer 1/3 as
a gift, and give 1/3 to the poor.
6.
Pilgrims have the option to start with any of the following
rituals:
- Slaughtering
- Cutting
one's hair
- Making
Tawaf Ifadah
